How to request deletion
Verify ownership
Include your username, account email, and a short note confirming that you want your account and associated data deleted.
We process deletion
After verification, we delete or anonymize account data, profile details, scam reports, forum content, uploaded files, preferences, and related records unless retention is legally required.
Confirmation
We send confirmation when the deletion request is completed. Some security, fraud-prevention, audit, or legal records may be retained where required.
Data included in account deletion
- Account profile information, including name, username, email address, language, timezone, and optional profile photo.
- Scam reports, report history, report descriptions, scam type, platform, amount lost, status, and supporting uploaded files where tied to the account.
- Forum topics, messages, replies, edits, and related user-generated community content where deletion is technically and legally possible.
- Saved preferences, app settings, and account-related support records.
Data we may retain
ScamJam may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, or backup integrity. Retained records are limited to what is necessary for those purposes.
Deleting some data without deleting the account
